The Finish Line
My first knit finish for 2025.
The Nova Scarf by Rikke Ørem Yarn: Malabrigo Rios Color: Matisse Blue |
I really liked knitting the Sophie Scarf. Nova is similar in construction with the added lace edge on one side.
I had a hard time getting this one started. Several times my stitch count was off and rather than trying to figure out where I had missed an increase, I would just start all over.
I also decided I wanted mine a little wider, and therefore a bit longer, than the pattern suggests. The start overs and the added rows meant it took a little bit longer than I expected to knit it. It took 62 grams of the Rios for the length and width that I chose. I am very, very happy with the finished scarf and glad I did the added width.
Sadly, it appears this pattern is not available anymore on Ravelry. I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to reverse engineer it from the Ravelry photos provided.
Now that the scarf is finished,
it is back to socks.
It look wonderful! I'm sorry the pattern is no longer available, but I know enough about this construction to probably wing it if I wanted it. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Such a lovely rich colour.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Val, the yarn is such a deep color. The pattern looks very simple to the Pimpeliesse pattern that I've used many times. I probably spelled that wrong, but it's a free pattern on Ravelry.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
