Happy New Year!
Well, we made it.
Another brand new year.
One of my favorite things to do in the new year is to start a new project.
There will be TWO started today.
First thing I have to do is cake up my yarn.

This is one of her monthly series yarn.
I haven't bought all of them, but I have a few that I thought were pretty.
This was seems quite apropos to cast on today.
I also have a new cross stitch project to start.
A friend and I are doing a start-along today.
We picked a reproduction sampler to do together.
I have my fabric and floss all ready to go.
So, let's get going.
We have a new year to tackle.

Happy New Year to you too Dee! That's a very pretty yarn and a beautiful sampler. Last night around 10:00 I cast on a new sweater for a gift. My needles and hooks had been completely empty for the first time in a long time! It was fun to start something new on New Years Eve.

That's a very "me" color, and it's definitely appropriate to start January socks on January 1. Looking forward to seeing that new sampler progress.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours. Brand new projects are always great fun. Maybe this will be the year I try some Emma's yarn. I heard that a new to me yarn shop in Omaha (50 miles down the road) carries some of Emma's yarns. I love the colors in both projects. Let's get stitching.
