Decorating ---- To Do or Not To Do

Mostly I was NOT TO DO this year.

The inside has my Christmas/winter things out, mostly cross stitched things,

and there are white candles (LED) in the front windows.

We did not put up outside lights this year.

However, it doesn't mean we can't enjoy the decorations of others.

It all started with the Maryland Welcome Station in Smyrna, MD.

Then there were the gingerbread houses in Annapolis Tourist Center.

You saw the recycle bin Christmas tree at one of our local coffee shops in a previous post,

but wait ..............there's more.

Santa has picked up a side hustle at the truck repair shop in White House, NJ.
(Of course, I took this photo from a coffee shop window.)

But, not ALL of the decorations mean driving a long distance. There are plenty in our local area. For the past couple of years I have driven past a great glow in the sky. There is a house in a "kind of" hidden neighborhood. I didn't know how to get back there, but Steve did. It did not disappoint.

Earlier this week I went to one of the local libraries and they had a unique tree.
Having a tree like that sure would keep you busy for awhile.

Up in the main town north of us (Doylestown),
their tree is always very sparkly and pretty.

So, while we didn't put outside lights up this year, we did get something
that made our yard look a bit more Christmassy.

Mother Nature took the decorating into her own hands.

We we supposed to get just a dusting.

We ended up with about an inch and

it should be hanging around awhile.

It is C-O-L-D!!!

Wishing all who celebrate a very Merry Christmas

and for all of us,

I wish for a new year filled with joy, love, and good health.

  1. You had a lot of great lights too. I didn't know bow close you are to Annapolis. Mandy & family lived in Edgewater for a few years while her husband worked in DC. That lit up house riveled the one in my post but I couldn't get far enough away to encompass the entire house. My favorite is the library book tree. That is really cool.
Merry Christmas to you, Steve and Giroux. Have a great week my friend.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
